Non-traditional Occupations

Taking the Road Less Traveled - This is a tool kit purchased by Career, Technical and Agricultural Education to provide information for instructors and students regarding the awareness, recruitment, retention and placement of students in nontraditional occupations. This tool kit was distributed to local guidance and counseling teams through their TECH PREP consortium in the fall of the school year 2002-2003. In the fall of 2003-2004, TECH PREP consortium directors will distribute to guidance and counseling teams in the local school Destination Success. This supplement to Taking the Road Less Traveled contains specific how-to-activities for the strategies in the tool kit along with various sample forms to go along with the activities.  In the spring of 2003-2004, Tech Prep consortium coordinators distributed to middle school guidance teams a copy of Destination Success.  This disc contains many activities and useful nontraditional career-related information to share with parents and faculty.
